About The Author

As a former business owner, corporate CEO, and lifelong military history enthusiast I thoroughly enjoyed applying my experience and knowledge to write Boardrooms and Battlefields. Like Thomas Keeling, I’ve faced difficult business decisions in my life and had to make a few tough calls. Not every decision may have turned out exactly as expected, but the collective wisdom from those experiences made me a better business leader and family man. I live in Southern California with my lovely wife and enjoy spending time with my four grown children and their significant others. My hobbies include golf, wine tasting, reading and writing for enjoyment and inspiration. Cheers!

Boardrooms and Battlefields is an Action Fiction for Avid Readers

Military stories can offer gripping action, heroism, and strong emotional impact.  They can also provide socially and politically significant insights. Battles can also occur inside corporate offices.  When they take place within boardrooms, where so much is at stake and at the same time behind the scenes, the results can be profound. Paul Ponte’s story includes both military battlefield scenes and tense boardroom skirmishes. As Thomas Keeling, CEO of Global Titan Industries, partners with the CIA to defend against a Chinese Communist Party-sponsored government coup and, following that, a corporate hostile takeover, he has only the faintest notion of the powerful events that will follow. The ensuing boardroom battles, military aircraft actions, and rescue missions keep the action flowing throughout the book. Paul Ponte, the author, has a flare for writing military history. As a lifetime military history enthusiast, he employs his experience and expertise to write ‘Boardrooms and Battlefields.’ A former business owner and corporate executive, Paul Ponte describes the business chronicles of Thomas Keeling, CEO of Global Titan Industries. Thomas personifies the epitome of success as the CEO of a multimillion-dollar worldwide firm and the heir to family wealth. He also effectively hides his crippling emotional problems from all but his wife Katie.

A Perfect Mixture of War, Romance, and Suspense Thriller

Sitting in his spacious executive suite as the CEO of Global Titan Industries position, Thomas Keeling has no idea that he will soon set out on a journey that will completely change his life. Paul Ponte has written Boardrooms and Battlefields as a fast-paced military thriller with a tense atmosphere, suspenseful edginess, and heart-pounding scenes, including oval office board meetings on one side and aerial pursuit and fighter aircraft dogfights on the other. The story unveils and lays bare the dark maze of the human mind and the most primal and visceral parts of the human heart—a tale, both sophisticated and unpolished, of loyalty, fear, and determination, and as suspenseful as it is as captivating with each turned page.

An Exclusive Page-Turner by Paul Ponte

Paul Ponte aptly describes the parallel between a covert CIA operations and the increasing tension surrounding Thomas Keeling. While Thomas continues to conceal his ongoing migraines, his excruciating struggle with insomnia, and his Imposter Syndrome-related self-doubt, the world is closing in on him. Thomas accepts his wife’s ultimatum when she insists that Thomas see a psychologist. Doctor Levine attempts to diagnose and cure his affliction. As a gesture of loyalty towards his wife, he continues therapy sessions with his new psychologist. After several visits, Doctor Levine unravels the source of Thomas’ emotional affliction. FAQs

War stories still have meaning today—possibly even more so. These tidbits of real history are fascinating material for stories and improve our understanding of the past. War has been a constant throughout history and continues to the present. The reasons why people pick up arms against one another remain the same, despite all the prejudice and misconceptions. Greed, hatred, and ignorance is where it always begins. We can learn from history, and fictional stories, that differences can be overcome. The first step is awareness. Then understanding. Then a refusal to repeat the mistakes of the past.

War stories have a strong emotional impact on readers in addition to being socially and politically significant. Characters in them frequently cope with loss, whether it be loss of a family member, friend, colleague, or loss of home. Great wartime books immerse the reader in the action and the era, sharing with us not only narrative and character but also giving us a better sense of what it must have been like to live through such terrible times, whether inspired by the author’s personal experience or invented by a fertile mind. Additionally, effective war literature should encourage a love of peace rather than hostility in the reader.

A book about war is known as a war novel or military fiction. It is a book where the main action occurs on a battlefield, in a civilian environment, or on the home front. The characters are consumed with preparing for, dealing with, or recuperating from war. Historical fiction is common in war books. The military genre can include, for example, an autobiography of a member of the armed forces who accomplished great things or made a choice that turned the tide of a conflict employing cutting-edge or revolutionary military tactics.

Paul Ponte takes his readers on a roller coaster of emotions, drama, and action in his gripping work. From the boardroom conversations to the battlefields and from the battlefields to the legal battles. The plot has thrilling aviation sequences, espionage, prisoner exchanges, boardroom discussions, and military fighting scenes. Paul is skilled at depicting his characters in a believable way for the readers. However, Paul Ponte carefully balances fiction, readability and reality. His writing style demonstrates excellent research and precision. With his clever plot and superb portrayals, he skillfully holds his readers’ attention.

The action and adventure genre literature typically has plot components involving danger, violence, and physical struggle. The protagonist of an action or adventure novel often faces a single challenge or hurdle that must be conquered to resolve a conflict or realize a desired outcome. This could entail combating adversaries in some situations or nature in others.
